Rocky Point, also known as Puerto Penasco is Northern Mexico's newest seaside resort town. Located in the state of Sonora on the north coast of the Sea of Cortez, Rocky Point is only 66 miles south of the United States - Mexico border. As Arizona's closest beach resort, many hale Rocky Point as Mexico's next Cabo. With spring break temperature averaging in the low 80's and an ideal hotel and club scene, Rocky Point is the perfect spring break destination.

Manny Beach Club:
Manny beach club, commonly referred to as Manny’s. Manny’s is located in the Malecon area of Rocky Point. It is a popular night life hang that attracts revelers of all ages 18 and up of course.

JJ’s Cantina:
JJ’s Cantina, also commony referred to as just JJ’s. JJ’s has been around for a long time and it is located in the Cholla Bay area of Rocky Point. JJ’s is well known for hosting many events such as; fishing tournaments and volleyball tournaments.

Pink Cadillac Diner, & Cantina:
Pink Cadillac Diner, & Cantina. Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico. (A.K.A) ROCKY POINT!! Your one stop place for Food & Fun. Located in the HEART of "THE STRIP" in the Mirador section of town. Eat at our famous 50's STYLE DINER. Catch a game in our SPORTS BAR. Take a dip in the POOL, swim up, have a drink. Then join us in the #1 DANCE CLUB in town.

Playa Hermosa Beach:
Do this one at low tide Dad & Mom. On the real low tides the rocks and rock rimmed tide pools are exposed. When you can see the 'seaweed' it's really a low tide. Kids can explore the pools for fish, octopus, squid, shrimp, crabs, coral, colorful sea plants, etc. On the day we went, some kids found a 4 foot long squid! Set some rules for "Look and Not Touch." Let kids know others want to see these wondrous things & creatures too!

Sandy Beach:
Have you ever wanted to try Jet Skiing but never had a chance? Now is your opportunity, rent a Rocky Point Jet ski. If you have stayed at a Rocky Point resort you have seen the Rocky Point jet skis in the Sea of Cortez along the Sandy Beach resorts. Sometimes the handler is on the beach and can direct you on how you can rent a Rocky Point jet ski.

Rocky Point banana boats:
Rocky Point banana boats are a blast. If you have been to a Rocky Point resort on Sandy Beach you undoubtedly have seen this Rocky Point water activity. There are two kinds of Rocky Point banana boats, the single banana boat and the dual banana boat. The cost is typically 5.00 per rider. Give your money to the handler who has the life vests. Once on the Rocky Point banana boat, you can control the speed of the ride by giving the thumbs up or down. Put your life jacket on and be ready for some fun.

Rocky Point Parasailing:
When in Rocky Point it is common to see someone parasailing over the Sea of Cortez. If you are not familiar with parasailing, here is a brief description of what parasailing is. Parasailing is a recreational activity where a person is towed behind a boat while attached to a specially designed parachute, known as a parasail. The boat then drives off, carrying the parascender into the air. Rocky Point parasailing allows you to fly high above the Sea and enjoy the breeze. There are a few Companies that offer parasailing in Rocky Point and the rates vary. Enjoy your flight above the beautiful Sea of Cortez!

Rocky Point sea kayaking:
Have you ever wanted to try kayaking in the ocean? If not, what are you waiting for? Rocky Point sea kayaking offers the opportunity to enjoy kayaking in the peaceful waters of the Sea of Cortez The calm waters in the sea make for the perfect environment for Sea kayaking. Not only do you get some exercise, you have a birds eye view of the water. Grab a paddle hop in the kayak and have a blast. Remember, once you start your Rocky Point kayaking adventure, you are the captain and control where you travel.

Rocky Point snorkeling:
The Sea of Cortez is well known for its vast marine biology. The diversity in sea life should invite snorkelers of all levels to partake in Rocky Point snorkeling. Many people go snorkeling at Isla San Jorge also known as “Bird Island” This Island is 27 miles south east of Rocky Point. While snorkeling at Bird Island, you can be in the presence of Sea Lions, it has also been stated that Dolphins could swim by as well.
Plaza Las Glorias Puerto Penasco:
Sparkling “Sante Fe” style architecture. Hotel has one restaurant, two bars and one snack bar. Waterfront with spectacular beach. Sun drenched swimming pool and relaxing Jacuzzi are available to all guests.
